Rabat – The Moroccan women’s soccer team beat its Senegalese counterpart by 1 goal to 0 (half-time 0-0), Friday night at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, in a match of the third day (group A) of the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco-2022).
The only goal of the game was scored by Ghizlane Chebbak from the penalty spot (55th).
With this achievement, the Lionesses of the Atlas, already qualified for the quarters, finish at the top of their group with 9 points obtained in three victories, ahead of Senegal (6 pts).
For a place in the last four, synonymous with qualification for the next world, the national team will be opposed to one of the best third-placed teams.
In the other game of this group, held at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, Burkina Faso and Uganda drew (2-2).
