Morocco’s beach soccer team secured a 5-2 victory over Ghana on Monday in Hurghada, Egypt, during the second day of the Africa Cup of Nations (Group A).
Morocco’s goals came from Reda Zahraoui, who netted twice (7′, 18′), Idriss Ghanam (13′), and an own goal by Ghana’s K. Ticore (20′). Amine El Bidouri rounded out the score with a late strike (34′).
In their opening game last Saturday, the Atlas Lions edged Tanzania 4-3.
Morocco will face Egypt’s Pharaohs on Tuesday in their final group-stage match.
The 2024 CAN tournament in Egypt serves as a qualifier for the 2025 Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles.
