Marrakech – Moroccan football inspires African countries to dream to win a World Cup, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, said Monday in Marrakech.
Speaking at the 2023 CAF Awards ceremony, held Monday evening at the Congress Palace, Lekjaa underlined that African countries can aspire to achieve the dream of winning a World Cup.
Dedicating the award of the best African national team of the year to HM King Mohammed VI and Moroccans, FRMF president praised the efforts of the Sovereign who have made Moroccan football a model, particularly through high-level infrastructure.
The Kingdom is hosting, for the 2nd consecutive year the CAF Awards, which celebrate the excellence of African football, after the 2022 edition held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora.
